class descriptions
-
Move in gentle ways to reduce body tension, improve breath & balance.
A mix of gentle hatha, somatics, breathing & balance practices. Suitable for those wanting to do less traditional yoga but use movements to awaken both body and brain. Motion is your lotion.
-
Rooted in the work of Thomas Hanna, these classes are ongoing exploration of Essential Somatic movements to maintain function and ease of your life on two feet.
-
Classes will have a specific focus, weekly or monthly with morning or evening options.
Online platform with Zoom. Available as individual or full series.
-
From Memory or Imagination, be guided with prompts to bring experiences to the page. The AWA method is grounded with supportive commentary that allows a safe container to be held for writers to explore their craft.
We focus on what worked, stayed with us and was strong. All work is treated as fiction so as to uphold the writer and any risks they may have taken by putting words to paper. No experience is necessary.
-
Walking is your birthright. The ability to walk freely and with ease will bring the world to your footsteps. Explore the relationship of patterns of movement from shoulders to hips and how an injury may have sidelined your gait in more ways than one.
